The fertility journey often feels like navigating uncharted waters, where emotions rise and fall with unexpected intensity. As someone who has walked this path, understand how these feelings can shake your sense of self to the core. That’s why I’m excited to announce a series of free workshops! Eac are designed to help you understand and manage some of the most challenging emotions that surface.

Infertility can bring big feelings

Beginning this January, I’ll be hosting three monthly workshops. Each will focus on a powerful emotion that many of us grapple with during infertility: anger, failure, and jealousy. These aren’t just difficult feelings, they’re messengers, carrying important information about our experiences and needs. Yet so often, we push them away. We do this because we’re convinced we shouldn’t feel this way or afraid of what these emotions might say about us.

When your fertility journey is not how you imagined it might be.

Let’s be honest; the emotional landscape of infertility rarely matches what we imagined for ourselves. Instead of joyfully surprising our partner with a positive pregnancy test, many of us find ourselves starting fertility treatment e.g. IVF. This can involve navigating a maze of medical appointments, timed interactions, and crushing disappointment. The simple joy of scrolling through social media becomes a minefield of pregnancy announcements; each one triggering a complex wave of emotions; from intense jealousy to guilt about feeling jealous, to shame about who we’re becoming.

And you start to lose confidence in yourself.

This emotional rollercoaster can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. You might find yourself questioning decisions that once felt clear, doubting your instincts, or feeling lost in the uncertainty of it all. The strong, confident person you once knew seems to be replaced by someone who feels increasingly vulnerable and unsure.

But what if these challenging emotions aren’t signs of weakness or character flaws? What if they’re actually valuable signals trying to guide us toward healing and self-understanding?

That’s exactly what we’ll explore in these workshops. Each session is designed as an interactive experience where you can:

  • Understand why these emotions surface and why they’re completely normal
  • Learn practical tools for managing overwhelming feelings
  • Connect with others who truly understand your experience
  • Discover how to use these emotions as guides rather than obstacles
  • Find your way back to yourself while honouring your journey

How I can support your fertility/IVF journey with the help of these FREE workshops.

The workshops will run on Tuesday evenings from 19:45-20:45, providing a safe, confidential space where you can show up exactly as you are. Each session will include both educational content and a Q&A session, allowing for interaction and support with myself.

January’s workshop will focus on anger; that fierce emotion that often feels too big to handle. In February, we’ll explore feelings of failure and how they impact our self-worth. March will bring us to the complex territory of jealousy, examining how to navigate this challenging emotion with self-compassion.

Through my work as a fertility counsellor and my own personal journey, I’ve learned that these emotions, however uncomfortable, hold wisdom. When we create space to understand them rather than push them away, they can actually guide us toward deeper self-understanding and healing.

These workshops are more than just educational sessions; they’re opportunities to realise you’re not alone, that your feelings are valid, and that there are ways to navigate this journey while staying connected to yourself.
